Getting there

Wrocław's Copernicus Airport (WRO) is well-connected, with flights from major European cities via LOT (Warsaw), KLM (Amsterdam), Lufthansa (Frankfurt, Munich), and Scandinavian Airlines (Copenhagen), alongside numerous budget carrier routes from Ryanair and Wizz Air. For a unique connection to plucked-string history, consider a day trip to Grodków (Grottkau), about an hour's drive from Wrocław, the probable birthplace of Sylvius Leopold Weiss. Although no specific Weiss memorial exists there beyond the general historical context, the journey itself offers a glimpse into the Silesian landscape that shaped his early life. Further afield, Dresden, Germany, where Weiss spent much of his career and is buried, is a significant pilgrimage site for lutenists, though it requires a longer journey.
